Everything from cost and warranty to pet odor and pool deck integration.

Greater New Orleans residential installs run $10 to $20 per square foot installed. Most full-yard projects total $12,000 to $25,000. Pricing depends on turf product, base prep, drainage requirements, and total square footage. Larger projects come down on a per-foot basis.

Yes. Properly installed turf actually drains faster than natural grass, typically 30+ inches per hour. The key is base prep: graded compaction, French-drain integration where needed, and high-flow turf backings. We've installed across NOLA through multiple hurricane seasons. Drainage stays excellent.

Direct-sun standard turf reaches 130-160°F on a 95° day. We address this three ways: cool-yarn turf options that reflect IR radiation (15-25°F cooler), zeofill or organic infill instead of black crumb rubber, and a quick hose rinse that drops surface temp 20+ degrees in seconds. Shaded courtyards stay comfortable year-round.

Yes. All Crescent Turf products are lead-free and PFAS-free. Pet zones use antimicrobial infill that neutralizes ammonia at the molecular level. Play areas get ASTM F1292-rated shock pads underneath the turf for fall protection.

Most residential projects under 1,500 sq ft install in 2-3 working days. Larger commercial jobs run 5-10 days. We work consecutive days with daily cleanup and a final walkthrough. No half-finished job sites left over a weekend.

Done right, no. Premium polyethylene turf with multiple blade colors and the right pile height looks remarkably like a freshly mowed lawn. The biggest tell on cheap turf is uniform color and stiff blades. We carry only multi-tone, soft, natural-looking products.

Not when installed properly. The keys are: (1) hyper-permeable backing so urine drains through immediately rather than pooling, (2) antimicrobial infill (Zeofill, T-Cool) that bonds to ammonia, and (3) a basic monthly enzyme rinse. With those three, even multi-dog households report zero odor.

Premium turf carries a 15-year manufacturer warranty and routinely lasts 18-25 years before needing replacement. Lower-tier turf may need replacement in 8-12 years. The biggest factor is UV stabilizer quality, which is why we only carry premium products.

Most dogs adapt within a week, they figure out it's not real grass. If your dog has an underlying nutritional issue causing them to eat grass, that won't change. But the eating-grass-then-throwing-up-on-the-rug cycle does end.

Weeds can't grow through properly-installed turf, the base layer plus weed barrier blocks germination. Insects don't live in synthetic turf the way they do in natural grass (no roots to colonize). Mosquito populations actually drop because there's no standing water in the base.

Minimal. Pick up debris occasionally. Hose down high-traffic spots monthly. Power-brush the fibers annually to keep them upright. That's it. No mowing, watering, fertilizing, aerating, weeding, dethatching, or seasonal overseeding.

Yes, with a different base prep. We typically install a drainage tile or shock-pad layer over the concrete first, then turf over that. Common application for rooftop terraces, patio overlays, and balcony installs.

Generally yes, especially in markets where buyers value low-maintenance landscaping. Real estate agents in our market consistently report turf installations as a positive selling point. Hard to put exact ROI, but most homeowners report no difficulty selling and often command a premium for "turnkey landscape."

Three layers. Below the turf is a perforated backing that water passes through. Below that is a 3-4 inch base of crushed limestone, sloped away from your home. Below that is the existing soil. Water passes through turf, drains through limestone, and exits via grading or French drain. Result: 30+ inches/hour drainage capacity.

Most residential turf installs don't require permits in Greater New Orleans. Larger commercial projects sometimes do, depending on parish. We handle any permitting needed and include the cost in your quote.

Yes. Pool surrounds are one of our most popular install types. We use chlorine-resistant turf with cool-touch yarns, set on a base that drains splash-out in seconds. See our pool turf service page.

Most HOAs in Greater New Orleans allow synthetic turf with proper documentation. We help prepare board submissions, including specs, color samples, and references from other approved installs.

Every install includes a 15-year written warranty covering both the turf product (UV degradation, fiber loss, color fading) and our installation workmanship (seams, drainage, base settling). We're a local company. When you call, we answer.

0% APR financing available across 12, 24, and 60-month terms for qualified buyers. A $14,000 install on 60 months runs about $235/month, less than most homeowners spend on lawn care.
